Tuzla suited me because I was there for business at the port, though I wouldn’t call it a great location otherwise. The hotel is modern, with nicely sized rooms, a lovely bay-view patio, and an excellent rooftop restaurant. Breakfast was excellent too, and meeting rooms and business service were 10/10. It’s a ten-minute walk to the Maramaray train line. The cleaning and food service staff were wonderful, and I enjoyed a spa service after a long flight. Still, even the non-smoking floor smelled smoky. Front desk staff often struggled with English. Women couldn’t use the steam room or sauna because they’re in the men’s locker room, which was disappointing after I’d worked out and paid for a spa service, especially since these facilities were advertised online.

At checkout, we were charged for Doritos from the minibar even though we hadn’t used anything, then staff gave confusing, inconsistent explanations about another item they claimed was missing that didn’t exist. Earlier, at 12:00 PM, a staff member came into our room while we were still asleep, without knocking or ringing the doorbell, apparently assuming it was checkout time. That was a serious breach of privacy and completely unacceptable. The guest handling felt unprofessional, and I don’t recommend this branch.

For the same price, this room was very small compared with Holiday Inns in other cities, and the mattress was too soft. I wish they offered rooms with different mattress firmness options.

A good business hotel, and everything was great. The restaurant on the top floor has a beautiful view, though it’s a little expensive.
