Seven Roses Apart Hotel

It was a very comfortable stay, with a spacious bedroom and living room, a balcony, and a full kitchen with a fridge. There’s also a shared rooftop terrace with great views. The staff were friendly. The area is quiet and feels very safe, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby and the water close enough for a nice walk. We heard no noise apart from birds and the daily prayers. Just allow extra time for taxis: traffic can get backed up in the narrow streets. It’s an area where you can safely walk everywhere.

Back again, and the staff were nothing but helpful and gave off good vibes. The rooms are immaculate, the location is ideal, and the rooftop views are gorgeous. When I'm in Istanbul next time, I'll be back ❤️

The balconies are my favorite part. You can watch lots of seagulls from them, which is the main reason we’ve stayed here twice, and why I might come back again. The WiFi is good, the location is good, staff communication is good, and the value for money is good too. The rooms are a bit small, there’s no elevator, and some things may need repairs or replacement. Still, I like seagulls for some reason, so being able to see so many from the balcony makes it worth staying here.

Seven Roses Hotel wasn’t worth the price for my nine night stay, and I can’t recommend it. The central location near public transport and the jacuzzi and shower were genuinely good. The rest was disappointing: poor upkeep, an ant problem, lack of cleaning, and an uncomfortable staff interaction. I wouldn’t stay again. Before arrival, communication was smooth. The host contacted me on WhatsApp to confirm when I’d arrive and offered airport transport, but the quoted $60-$150 seemed extremely overpriced when a regular Istanbul taxi is around $30. Faruk Emre Demirci welcomed us and helped with check-in, making a good first impression that didn’t last. The apartment looked fine at first, but signs of poor maintenance appeared within a couple of days. We asked to move to a unit with a washing machine and realized that the availability of essentials like a microwave, dishwasher, or washing machine hadn’t been clearly explained beforehand. You have to confirm everything in advance. There was no dishwasher, so we had to hand wash everything. Housekeeping was basically nonexistent: no cleaning for the entire stay, no room service, no routine check-ins, and supplies only after repeated requests. We got three toilet paper rolls at check-in and had to keep asking for more, which felt uncomfortable. The second apartment seemed better, but had a serious ant infestation. Ants were on the counters and in the kitchen, and swarmed any food or dishes left out even briefly. We had to wash everything right away, which was exhausting. The layout was awkward too, with lots of stairs between the bedroom and bathroom. The wooden handrails felt unstable and like a safety hazard. One night a staff member aggressively demanded payment for an “additional guest.” It was an unprofessional, uncomfortable exchange. Faruk apologized later, but the incident left a bad impression. Other comfort and safety issues included a toilet that shifted when used, a bed that tilted, and a sagging mattress. The overall maintenance felt neglected.
