We spent 8 days in Tukriye and stayed in 4 hotels. This one was the best. It was near both a mosque and a church, and the metro was just a 10-minute walk away. The service and rooms were top notch.

For my first trip to Istanbul, hotel orkide suited my needs really well. There’s a nice terrace for late nights, and the staff were very supportive and spoke English. The room was clean, with cleaning service included. It’s about 15 minutes from the Blue Mosque and the busy areas. Laundry, money exchange, SIM cards, and ATMs are all within 2-5 minutes. I’d stay here again.

The bathroom had mold, and we could hear every movement from the other rooms, so we couldn’t sleep. I’d booked three nights in October but left after the first. The staff didn’t know English, and when I asked for a refund for the third night, they said it wasn’t possible because I’d paid by card. It was an awful stay.

The room was so cold we couldn’t sleep properly, and the hotel couldn’t provide heaters. They also never called back as promised. We checked out after the first night, but they charged us for the full stay through booking.com. There was nothing else to do in that cold room.

Being able to walk to nearby attractions made getting around easy and added a lot to my trip. I had a very pleasant stay and would be glad to return. A special thank you to receptionist Eser for being attentive and professional and helping me throughout my visit.
