The area felt safe, even when I came back later in the day, and Taksim Square was an easy 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel was beautiful, well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were warm and cozy, and breakfast was delicious with a good range of choices. The staff were especially kind and welcoming, which added a lot to the stay. Being on a main road meant some noise, but it was manageable and didn't bother me much. The only letdown came at checkout: a staff member asked me for a tip and laughed when I didn't understand, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional after an otherwise very positive stay. I would still recommend it for the cleanliness, location, and friendly atmosphere, and hope management addresses things like that.

Davut was always ready to help us, and we had great conversations with him. His friendly, dedicated service deserves special thanks. The team was available around the clock and looked after us throughout the stay. The hotel was spotless and very well maintained, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a wide variety for everyone. We had a really great time at the Icon Hotel in Istanbul, would definitely recommend it, and would love to come back.

There was no A/C in the room, which I found unacceptable. It was clean enough, though, so I had no complaint about cleanliness at that price. One plus was the car park. You can't reserve a space, so it's first come, first served.

The staff were friendly, polite, and professional, and they kindly upgraded us to a suite. Unfortunately, cleanliness was the main problem. There was black mold around the bathtub, a previous guest's used towel was hanging behind the bathroom door, and the sheets had marks and hairs on them. Staff changed the sheets that night, which helped, but the mold was too much to fix while we were staying there. The location isn't great either. They do offer a free shuttle until 6pm to Taksim Square or Osmanbey station, which is useful for reaching the rest of the city by public transport.

I was near the area, traveling alone, and only speak English. With my phone dead and my purse gone, I had no cash or card, and it was getting dark and freezing. I was pretty panicked, so I went into a few hotels asking if I could charge my phone and sit for a moment. Most weren't kind about it, but the people here were so generous. They let me stay as long as I needed, offered tea and a bottle of water, and once I found my hotel address on the phone they charged for me, they called a taxi. They seemed glad to help and expected nothing back. I only wish I'd had my purse so I could have bought them a thank-you gift. I honestly think this place may have saved my life. Without their help I might have ended up sleeping outside. Thank you all so, so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
