The only good thing about this hotel was its location. The room cost 80 euros a night, yet the manager told us 80 euros was a “very low price” and that the room usually goes for 120 euros. He said that while we were standing in a room with mold, broken furniture, and safety hazards for children. That made it clear the hotel considers these conditions acceptable even at a higher price. When I showed him photos and evidence, his response was “So , no problem, no problem ”, and he refused to take responsibility or offer a solution. He also couldn't communicate in English, making it very difficult to discuss serious health and safety issues. The bathroom was extremely dirty and unsafe, with mold and fungus on the walls, sink, and other surfaces. A strong, constant damp and mold smell came into the room. The glass bathroom door was cracked and damaged, which was especially dangerous with my two children, aged 8 and 10. Both are allergic to mold, and they started coughing at night. For three nights I had to give them allergy medicine. These conditions are unacceptable and unsafe for families. The rest of the room was in very poor shape too. The furniture was badly scratched and damaged, shelves were broken and coming off the wall, and nails were sticking out and could cause injuries. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I strongly do NOT recommend it, especially for families or anyone who cares about hygiene and health.

We ended up changing hotels because no one would help us. We hadn't been given enough beds for what we'd booked, and the man who calls himself the night manager or night receptionist said it wasn't his problem and he didn't know what to do. He was extremely rude, and when we showed him our booking and asked him to do his job, he nearly got into a fist fight with us. The day manager was dishonest and unhelpful as well. The bell boy was kind and pleasant, but there wasn't anything he could do. We stayed in several places around Turkey on this trip, and this was the worst experience. That night staff member was by far the rudest guy we met. Be careful about the people working here and consider another hotel in the neighbourhood. There are many nearby. Beware when booking.

We stayed from 3rd to 10th December 2025, four of us in a one-room apartment. It had a queen-size bed, three single beds, one bathroom, and a built-in kitchen cabinet. The fixtures and fittings were dated, but the room was fine for us. The rates included breakfast, which was a plus. The hotel apartments are near a tram station, and there are plenty of food outlets and restaurants in the Fatih area within walking distance.

The rooms are average, but the breakfast has improved since my earlier stays and is decent now. I mostly pick Istanbul Town Hotel for its location: it's close to Aksaray and Sultanahmet is easy to reach. Beyazıt Bazaar is nearby as well, which is nice for shopping and a walk around.

There was plenty of room for three of us, and the terrace was lovely, just as the reservation described. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good. We were really satisfied with the stay. It's good value for money, right in the centre and next to Grand Bazaar.
