Jaff Hotels Nişantaşı

The hotel is clean and very handy for the Metro, which was a big reason I chose Jaff after finding a good Booking deal. The staff were courteous and helpful, and my room was clean and a decent size. Some parts, like the shower, could use an update. The gym and sauna were nice, but their noon-to-9 PM hours left me no time to use them when I went out early and got back late. During the day, street noise could get especially loud if you wanted to sleep in. The breakfast buffet was the biggest letdown. There was a reasonable choice of cheese and some vegetables, but little protein beyond cold cuts and hard-boiled eggs, which appeared only once in five days. À la carte food was available, but overpriced compared with the nearby cafes. The hotel is off the main street on a very narrow road, with nowhere to park or easily catch a taxi, and traffic is generally bad. I paid $58 a night with my Booking discount. Without it, I don't think I'd recommend the place, and I probably should have paid $80 for the Ramada instead. At full price, no.

The team made the biggest impression on me, especially abdullah, who helped with everything I needed. The breakfast, gym, and spa were all really good, and the hotel is comfortable and well located in central istanbul. Whenever I travel to istanbul, I'll stay here.

Laundry was the main trouble during my six-night stay. My clothes came back much later than expected, my questions weren't answered, and the cleaning itself was poor. Some pieces were still wet, others dusty, everything smelled strongly of cheap detergent, and a few items hadn't been properly cleaned. At checkout, receptionist Omer worked out the bill in his favor, then told me laundry had to be paid in cash, a rule no one had mentioned beforehand. After we discussed it, card payment was suddenly possible. I wasn't given a receipt. As a solo traveler, I was first put in a very small room and had to ask to move. Many rooms, including the replacement, look onto the parking lot. Privacy was a problem too: the cleaner on the third floor ignored my "Do Not Disturb" sign more than once, entering without knocking while I was getting ready and cleaning while I was out with the sign still up.

The fire alarm went off every night, so we couldn't sleep properly. We told reception each day, but nobody seemed to care or do anything to fix it. Staff handled the whole situation terribly. We tried several times to talk to the manager, but they were never available, and there was no update, apology, or effort to sort it out during our stay. Very disappointing service. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable stay.
