Juno Hotel Taksim

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were affordably priced. I stayed five nights. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit cozy for two people and a good size for one. It faced an abandoned building, spooky at first, but it turned out to be great for spotting cats. We skipped breakfast after reading the reviews here, though my friend tried it and said they only served one egg. Housekeeping was OK, but I found hairs on the bedding that weren’t mine. Water pressure and temperature were consistently good. The amenities were basic, though shampoo and shower gel bottles appeared newly installed in our bathroom one day. The colorful stairs right in front of the hotel lead to a stretch with supermarkets, coffee, and cafes, quieter than the Taksim Square side. Public transport is easy to reach, including buses, tram, and subway. The T1 line means a bit of a downhill walk and some steps, but you can take the Funicular back up to Taksim Square. The Havaist bus stop is a 10-minute walk across the square. For cheap eats, the 100TL doner places are off Istikal Avenue, closer to the main road.

We stayed three nights in February, and the price was affordable. The room was very clean, even the kettle, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a good location, just half a minute from the station and close to the walking street. Perfect for a couple. We’ll want to come back again and again.

The only downside was the noise at night. A rooftop club about two blocks away kept playing loud music until around 2am on Sunday, so I was glad I’d booked just one night. Otherwise, things were good. The hotel has an elevator, the room was clean, and the water heater worked fast. There was air conditioning and heating. The delicious breakfast was served nicely. The king bed came with four pillows and a duvet, plus another duvet in the wardrobe. There was a kettle with disposable paper cups and a mini cooler with two 500ml mineral water bottles. It’s very convenient for Taksim Square Metro and the funicular. I took public transport from the hotel to Istanbul international airport and got there within 80 minutes.

We had a great holiday here in June 2025. The location is excellent, almost on Taksim Square, with a metro station, bus stop, and taxi nearby, yet it was quiet at night. Our top-floor room was clean and cool, just as booked, with an amazing view and a large balcony. Breakfast was really tasty each morning, and the staff were friendly.
