The room was on the second floor, up a small staircase, so it’s not suitable for kids. They should clearly say there’s no lift and that you may have to climb two floors. It was also very hot in the room. The manager was asleep when we arrived to check in. We were only a few minutes early, but he made us wait outside and said not to return before 2pm. I felt he was keeping us out for his own ego. He was drunk while checking us in, and we could smell his breath from far away. At checkout he knocked at our door a minute too early. Ridiculous behavior. I’ve never encountered that kind of attitude anywhere else. Worst property manager I’ve seen in a long time.

The building’s old brick walls have been renovated nicely, but the beds are hard and the showers were rusty and full of mold. Management was the worst part. They showed no respect for guests and couldn’t manage bookings, even with just five rooms. Don’t book through their own website. We were thrown out halfway through our stay without warning or compensation. Not recommended.

There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, along with hundreds of friendly stray cats, and the staff were friendly too. The room was spacious, easy to find, and had a TV with one English news channel. Cleanliness was okay, though not great. There was a microwave but no plates or bowls. It could get cold in the evenings, and there was no heater, which would matter more in winter.

The price suited me, and the location was handy, right by the Tram station with easy access to Galat tower and Istiklal streets. The staff were so friendly and amazing. I really liked the place and would definitely recommend it :)

The hotel could use a good repair, but the location is excellent, the staff are nice and kind, and it’s budget-friendly.
