We had hot water, paid a low price, and were in a good location. That was about it. The room was small and humid, with a bad smell, a short bed, and unclean bedding and blanket. WiFi was very unstable, and the walls were thin enough that we could hear almost every word from the neighbors. Our room had no fridge, though I think I saw one in another room. I regret trying to save money that way. It was really uncomfortable.

We were meant to stay four nights, but on arrival found the bathroom, kitchen, and rooms hadn't been properly cleaned. I'm giving three stars because the host returned our money and cancelled the reservation without any trouble.

The rooms are simple, inexpensive, and clean, and the owner was friendly and helpful. It's an excellent spot, very close to the main historical sights. Good value for backpackers and anyone on a tight budget.

We were fortunate to get two rooms opposite each other, with an open roof space in front. That was great in the July 2019 weather. The place is also in a good historic part of town, Sultan Ahmed.

Ayasofya is only a 10-15 minute walk away. The apartment was quite nice, clean, inexpensive, and maybe in the best location.
