Kevin's Hostel

We came to ask about rooms because we were interested in booking, and a friend had already stayed there for a few days because it's cheap. The woman at reception, who might be the owner's sister, yelled at us. Her behavior was rude and completely disrespectful. It felt like they think guests are servants staying for free, so they can treat them however they want. They don't deserve even one star. I'd give half a star for the bad manners. Train the staff in hospitality or the business is going downhill! 😡

I stayed several nights and liked the area, with lots of restaurants and the sea within walking distance. The group room was bright and airy, and the place was well managed. They always put clean sheets on when guests changed. The price was pretty good too.

We were three people in a four bed room with bunk beds. It was clean, with a balcony and a mosquito screen on the door, and the shared bathroom was clean too. There's also a shared kitchen with a fridge and a small garden with a dining table. Ferries are nearby, and the metro to the airport and restaurants are within walking distance. This was easily the lowest price around, so the hostel is very good value.

Good for a small group, with a convenient location and a very affordable price. It's near several kinds of transport, and there are plenty of food options within a five minute walk since breakfast isn't worth paying for. A good budget city break base in Istanbul.
