La Quinta by Wyndham Istanbul Gunesli Hotel

Hatice made breakfast, lunch, and dinner more enjoyable every day and really brought a good atmosphere to the hotel. She even arranged a little birthday cake and candles at breakfast for my friend. The whole staff came by to wish him well. Thanks so much, Tim, you’re the best! I was very happy with the hotel, everything was great.

The metro is about 200 metres away, and for around 400 tl return it’ll take you downtown. The hotel was spotless, thanks to the cleaners, and the staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the bar was a nice place to unwind in the evening. One thing to know: Elit Koz lounge is a separate business inside the hotel, a Shisha Bar. Be careful, they’ll rip you off. That has nothing to do with the hotel itself, which was excellent, but it’s good to know in advance.

Stayed for 10 days and would recommend it. The service was quick and good, there are lots of shared rooms and spaces, and the rooms were clean and big enough for me and my two roommates.

The hotel was hygienic, but most of the staff didn’t speak English. We were far from the tourist sites, with a taxi ride costing around 40-50 USD and taking about 1.5 to 2 hours in traffic. I’d call the stay decent, but probably wouldn’t come back unless the rooms were bigger. Our room was much smaller than expected. I think they may have split a larger room into two. There wasn’t enough room to sort our luggage, and the bathroom was tiny. We barely fit in the shower, and water ended up all over the floor.
