Lotus Hotel

The family running this lovely hotel were so kind and helpful. My room had everything I needed and was sparkling clean, and breakfast was fantastic: fresh salad, olives, cheese, bread, and fruit. It feels like home inside, so don't let the outside of the building put you off.

Lotus Hotel was such a peaceful, welcoming place, with friendly cats and dogs. I brought my own cat, and he was calm and relaxed there. Sir Buran was so kind and helpful, as were his wife and the cleaning lady. As an international student, I loved the experience so much that I wish I could rent a room here instead of living in dorms. I highly recommend staying at Lotus if you want a quiet, communal environment with really friendly people.

I loved the homely feel at Lotus Hotel. The owners were lovely and always stopped for a chat, gave recommendations, made excellent tea, and even gave me a fridge magnet when I left. I collect them. I’m embarrassed that I’ve forgotten their names, but the gentleman walked me to the tram station when I left for the airport and helped carry my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs. And the cats and dogs were my favorite part. I loved giving them belly rubs in reception when they were around, though sometimes they were out for a walk. The hotel is in a quiet area, a little out of the way, which I liked, but still close enough to the Old Town. Depending on your destination, walking can take about an hour. I did that a couple of times. There are tram and bus stops nearby, too. My room was spacious, with a comfortable double bed and an unused single bed. The WiFi was excellent, which mattered because I had late-night online meetings. My stay was fantastic, and I’d definitely return and recommend it.

The room was clean, and the location was decent. Management was great, and the customer service was excellent, especially the lady who helped us. There are lots of cats and dogs around, so it might not suit kids who feel nervous around animals.
