Mataraci Konak

The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful, and the service was excellent. Everything was clean, organized, and well maintained. It’s a beautiful historic konak in Istanbul, a great fit if you appreciate traditional architecture and a sense of history. Staying there felt like being part of Istanbul’s past while still enjoying comfort and quality service. Highly recommended for travelers who enjoy historic places and authentic experiences.

The breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared, and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Mataracı Konak Hotel has a peaceful, authentic atmosphere that made me feel special. I was extremely satisfied and would choose this hotel again. I’d recommend it.

Our stay was a huge disappointment, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The breakfast was poor, just basic tomatoes and cucumbers with the cheapest low-fat cheese, with far less variety and quality than expected. The reception area was cramped and extremely small, and I fell there and hurt my leg, which set a terrible tone. Then we got to our room and found someone asleep in the bed. It was a staff member, who said he was tired and had decided to lie down in our room. That was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Honestly, staying here felt like a waste of money.

It was a good experience, and the staff made it even better. They were friendly, kind, professional, and helpful. They helped us pick places to visit and find gifts for family. Jamal and Ibrahim kept asking if I needed help or if anything was bothering me. The woman who cooked breakfast was always inviting me to try the Turkish food she made. Thank you so much.
