Mavi Suit Hotel

A really low-grade hotel. I had a very bad experience.

The place they sent us to was called "Blue Pension." We found it online for a business trip and went straight there, only to learn they apparently have two locations. The room was filthy and felt unsafe, and the whole place smelled like a horror house. It didn't feel like a hotel or even a pension. The staff were awful, too. The receptionist was rude and told us checkout was at 9 am, even though we hadn't got in until after 12 pm. Don't waste your money or go there.

The bed and sheets were filthy, and the room was so noisy it felt like being at a construction site, not in a suite. The heating was terrible, so you'd freeze until morning. There was just one towel, and even the toilet door wouldn't shut. A friend put it well: you're better off sleeping on a park bench. I've never stayed anywhere this awful.

Don't be tempted by the low price. They quoted one amount on the phone and a different one when we arrived, and the receptionist seemed focused on how much they could get out of us, with a permanently grumpy look. They also claimed they had no POS machine, though even small kiosks have them. I can't tell whether they really didn't have one or had another reason.
