The staff were friendly and helpful, and welcomed us with Turkish tea. Breakfast was decent, though not the freshest, and the internet was unreliable. It's a very basic, cheap hotel, as you'd expect. The location is excellent, right in the heart of sultanahmet, just a two-minute walk from hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

The terrace has an unmatched view of the Hagia Sophia, and the location is great. Wi-Fi is free, though weak, and there’s no lift. Probably best for younger, college-age travelers or fit adults without kids.

After more than twenty four hours of travel, my family and I arrived exhausted. We were greeted with Turkish coffee on the house and a sizable discount on food at the sweet little Turkish cafe downstairs. Our room was upstairs, and the first view we had of the Hagia Sophia was breathtaking. Service was warm and eager, and breakfast came buffet style. We were planning an ambitious trip to several places in a short time, and the hotels we stayed in afterward all felt disappointing by comparison.

Mr. Erol was an excellent host, and the staff were friendly and gave us useful information about Istanbul. The place was clean and cozy, and really well situated. Can't wait to come back!
