The location was great, but the hotel itself was dated, dirty, and run-down. At checkout, the man at the counter tried to charge 4800 euros for the week instead of 480. Another man came over and repeated the same amount. After some arguing, they took the extra zero off the card machine. That's why I've never booked there again. I'm only writing this review from 2011 now, so the desk staff may have changed since then, but be careful when booking and especially when paying.

The entrance and reception look nice, but the rest of the place goes downhill fast. Our rooms, 203 and 303, had carpets that needed replacing. The stairway carpet was old, dirty, and grimy, and the wet-room floorboards by the shower and toilet had rotted away. The room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, with rubbish in the wardrobe and drawers. We checked in, went out for dinner, booked somewhere else, then came back and checked out. Another reviewer said they'd rather stay in a prison. They weren't wrong. It's cheap, but nasty. STAY AWAY!

For the price, the room was good and the service was great compared with other hotels we stayed at. Sali was always helpful and smiling. Breakfast on the rooftop, plus tea and coffee available 24 hours with a city view, was great.

The hotel has a warm, relaxing feel, and everything seemed thoughtfully arranged to make guests comfortable. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Housekeeping did a great job each day, and the front desk were always ready to help with a smile. They gave directions, booked a taxi, and suggested places to eat. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. I couldn't be more satisfied with my stay. Thanks to the whole team for making the trip special. I'd highly recommend it for a pleasant, hassle-free visit!
