Miracle Istanbul Asia Airport Hotel & Spa

The rooms seemed recently renovated and were acceptable, but the noise made it hard to sleep. We could hear traffic outside and sounds from neighboring rooms because the insulation was so poor. The transport information on Booking.com was also misleading. There wasn't really a shuttle, just pricey VIP taxis. We were quoted around 50€ for a five-minute ride, even though we'd paid 350 TL the day before for a much longer airport-to-hotel trip. Traveling alone, I specifically asked them to call a regular taxi that morning. A large vehicle turned up instead, and even after negotiating, I paid 700 TL. When I called the hotel to explain, they hung up. I called again, and the person I reached wasn't understanding and just said it was “normal.” Between the poor soundproofing, confusing transport offer, and unprofessional service, it was an unpleasant stay. I wouldn't recommend it.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had, OMG! I stayed one night and loved it, 10/10. The spa is incredible, with a huge indoor pool. Outside there's a nice shisha bar and restaurant, and across the street is a big outlet center with plenty of places to eat. The rooms are luxurious, the location is top, and the airport is just 15 minutes away. This is the hotel if that's what you're after!!!

The hotel itself is nice, with good furniture and it's well maintained. At the airport, about 40 minutes after we left, they charged my card again for our stay. We'd paid by card many times before in Turkey, and didn't want to use cash because the change was offered in TL. At the time there hadn't been an option to pay our stay at Miracle hotel online. It seemed to me they picked a moment when we'd be busy with check-in, luggage, and other formalities. I reacted quickly, based on what I know of local customs, and they refunded the money within 20 minutes. Still, it left a bad taste. Dear management team of Miracle hotel, I believe you can find out what's going on, and I'm sure this isn't the only case. Remember that reputation costs a lot?

I got an upgraded room with a separate sitting room, and the shower was new. It was very quiet. The bus from the airport took 10 minutes. I didn't eat there. There were two TVs, but one had no sound on some channels. The staff were very nice, though some didn't speak English. Generally excellent.
