Nelly Guesthouse

We spent a week in the neighborhood and a couple of days at Nelly’s place. The breakfast was the best we had all week. Go have an egg roll and tea, pet the cats, and enjoy the company. Nelly and her crew are lovely and fun. Easily our favorite spot in Istanbul.

There are quite a few stairs to reach the room, and the sliding door was a bit tricky to use. Still, it was a great stay. The location is very central, and the rooftop terrace has a lovely view. Nelly was really friendly and helpful, and the room itself was great, with a little kitchen and fridge.

The guesthouse had a real community feel, with cozy shared spaces and lively chats with other travelers. Nelly has made it feel like a big, happy family, and she was a warm, welcoming host from the moment I arrived. She was around for questions and shared helpful tips about local culture. It was also clean and well looked after, with comfortable rooms and modern amenities. The location made getting around easy, whether walking or taking a tram, and the neighborhood was quiet while still central. The Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, restaurants, and cafes were all accessible. I had a delightful stay at Nelly's Guesthouse and would gladly come back. I’ve already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you, Nelly, for such a welcoming place in Istanbul.

Nelly runs a cozy, welcoming guesthouse in a central part of Istanbul, and she was always available with answers and suggestions for what to see. We felt at home there. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen was well equipped for making our own meals. The bathroom stayed clean and had hot water. You can tell she pays attention to the details.
