The rooftop was great, and I met some lovely people. The host was wonderful too. The location is very good, the price reasonable, and there are mirrors on every floor. You can also leave your bags at reception. The room wasn’t very clean, especially the bathroom. I think the shared bathrooms may be why, though the workers clean them every day.

The hosts were helpful and informative, and the terrace upstairs had nice views and was a good place to meet people. I came in December when it was fairly quiet, though I expect a big crowd in the warmer months. The spot is handy, right off the Sultanhamet Tram stop, making it easy to get almost anywhere in Istanbul. Breakfast and airport rides are cheap, and the rooms are nice, with heat, AC, and warm shower water. The Wi-Fi is average. A great stay, especially for backpackers.

So far it’s been a great experience. The food is very good, the staff are cooperative, and the location is excellent. At this price, I can’t ask for more.
