Restaurant smoke and smells drift into the room and can bother you all day. The internet also sometimes gets very slow or disappears altogether. My room was number 9, under the roof, and became very hot on sunny days. The apartment itself is spacious and clean, with a large, reasonably comfortable bed, a kitchenette with a kettle and microwave, and air conditioning. There’s a TV, but the music channels and radio don’t work, and almost everything else is in Turkish. That’s a minor drawback.

Getting there was easy: I took a taxi from the Havaist stop in Aksaray. The hotel is near Ayasofya and the Grand Bazaar, with good shops close by, and the shipyard for a Bosphorus trip is about a 30-minute walk. I arrived at 2:00 AM and the hotel transfer was waiting for me, which was helpful if you get in late. The rooms were clean and had well-equipped kitchens. One of the best places I’ve stayed. What more could you ask for?

Rifat, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had basic but good equipment. There are shops and restaurants all around, and it’s a short walk to Sultanahmet Square. We’ll be back x

The room was really clean, and the staff were very nice. It’s close to the historic sites, too. A very comfortable place to stay. I recommend this hotel if you visit Istanbul.

The host is very friendly, and the room has decent equipment. But the internet was poor and unreliable. Secondhand smoke came into the room throughout my stay, and all my clothes ended up smelling of cigarettes. It was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t come back.
