Point Hotel Taksim

For one or two nights in Istanbul between flights, this place has what you need at a reasonable price and with good service. It's beside takseem, with good restaurants and an abid market nearby that sells all kinds of goods. The bus stop is right next to the hotel, with a bus every half hour for passengers going from istanbul airport to sabiha airport.

Breakfast at Point Hotel Taksim is served on the ninth floor, with a great Bosphorous view and a terrace where you can sit, get some fresh air, and enjoy the scenery for hours. There are lots of choices, including international food as well as Turkish, and they can provide gluten free bread, fresh omelettes, and fried eggs. The location is handy for Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, both within walking distance. Restaurants, cafes, small grocery shops with fresh fruit, nuts, and water are right outside and open 24 hours. There's also a currency exchange on the street with better rates than Old town.

The rooms could use some rejuvenation, and the study chair was stained with God knows what, but housekeeping was great. The staff were helpful, kind, and attentive, and the location was great. The restaurant has a very nice Bosphorus view. Thanks to Uğur Bey, responsible for the restaurant section, and Ozan Bey, the bell boy.

The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, and we ate on the rooftop overlooking the city and sea. Our room was clean and the view of the Bosporus from the window was amazing. We stayed at Point Hotel Taksim for a weed and had a great experience. Taksim, the metro, and İstiklal were close by, making it easy to get around, while the rooms stayed quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.
