Skalion Hotel

The view from the hotel made the trip even more memorable, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. After stays at hotels all over Turkey, this was easily my best experience. Maryiam at reception deserves a special thank you. She was professional, helpful, and creative in the way she handled things, and made sure I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The whole team treated me wonderfully. I'd gladly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting.

We were very happy with our stay. Our room was cleaned every day and kept in great condition, and the staff answered our questions thoroughly and shared useful advice. They can arrange tours, or suggest routes and places to see if you'd rather explore independently. The hotel is also in a great spot. I especially appreciated how polite and helpful the young woman was at reception and during breakfast. We highly recommend staying here.

The rooftop was the one good thing for us. The room didn't look like the pictures, and getting in and out was very cramped. That could be especially difficult for someone with a disability or health condition in an emergency. There was an odd smell, and the beds made us itchy when we first arrived. The kettle was repeatedly dirty and burnt underneath. They were also very stingy with water and toilet paper, giving only two for free and charging after that. Other 4 or 5 star hotels usually provide unlimited water for free. I don't understand the 4.5 star rating when so many basics of a 4 star hotel are missing. On several nights, people in the room next door screamed very loudly. That wasn't acceptable.

We arrived while renovations were going on, but the staff still made it a great stay for me and my mother. They looked after us, were friendly, and had a good attitude about their work. They also shared lots of information about nearby attractions. I highly recommend the hotel and plan to come back once all the changes are finished. Please support this place.
