SNOG Rooms & Suites

As an Arab guest, I didn’t feel welcome at this hotel. Some staff members came across as biased and unprofessional, which made the stay uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it to Arab tourists.

We had repeated trouble over storing our luggage after check-out. The receptionist had agreed twice that we could leave it for a few hours, but when we checked out, the owner denied that arrangement and first demanded 50 euros. Although we were willing to pay to avoid disrupting our day, he then raised the price to 100 euros. When I objected, he said we had to leave immediately if we didn’t accept, and threatened to force us out onto the street. The conflicting information and sudden price change felt unfair and disrespectful. It completely disrupted our plans, so we went straight to the airport and lost the money we had already paid to reserve a taxi. Housekeeping also never came during our stay. Each day the overflowing bins, damp, crumpled towels in a corner, and linens that looked unchanged for weeks were still there when we returned. It was revolting. The sofa bed was no better: it was just an uncomfortable sofa, with a sharp piece of metal sticking out that injured me when I tried to sleep. I woke up feeling as if I’d been run over. You might be better off bringing a sleeping bag. The room itself was tiny, with a very low ceiling that made even us, not NBA players, crouch to avoid hitting our heads. It apparently had been built on the roof. Very steep stairs started right outside the door, and both my wife and child tripped on them, putting them at risk of serious injury. The room also looked nothing like the advertised pictures. From the moment we entered, it felt like a prison cell. The owner and staff had a terrible attitude and seemed uninterested in helping, barely acknowledging us. We expected better service and honesty at Snog Rooms & Suites Hotel. This was a disaster, and I wouldn’t wish the experience on anyone.

We stayed in a Deluxe King size bedroom. The room was quite spacious, with a nice bathroom and shower. They cleaned every day and the service was very good. The receptionist was kind and helpful with whatever we asked. We’d definitely come back.

The location is central, just a two-minute walk from Galata Tower, but the hotel sits on a quiet side street. Our rooms were newly renovated, and the beds were super comfortable. Cleanliness was okay. The staff were always helpful and very hospitable. We had a really lovely stay, thank you!
