Stay Lab Taksim

The rooms were clean, and the staff were respectful. There weren't many other problems, but the rooms were poorly insulated, so I could hear people talking in the next room. They're a bit smaller than standard rooms too, and don't have refrigerators. The hotel is in a nice spot, and the cafe upstairs has a panoramic view of Istiklal Street.

The location made everything so convenient, and I could order anything I needed straight to my room. I felt well looked after throughout my stay. The front desk team were kind and welcoming, and the cleaning service kept everything in great shape. A special thank you to Serkan from the cleaning team. He was so kind and helpful, and clearly cared about my comfort. His effort meant a lot to me. I'm really grateful to the whole team for making my stay so special, and I'd absolutely stay here again.

The rooms were small but sweet and functional, and being right in the city center made the location fantastic. The hotel itself was nice, but Mr. Musap and his team were what really made the stay amazing. Many thanks to them. I'll definitely be back.

The breakfast turned out to be really good, and I appreciated that. Still, as a solo traveler, I was let down by how the room issue was handled. I chose the Superior Room with a balcony view because I wanted to see Istiklal Street on Republic of Turkiye day, 29 Oct. I had high expectations because the hotel is right in central Taksim. When I arrived to check in, I was told my room was somehow broken because of a ceiling leak. I was really disappointed, since I chose this hotel for the view and the other rooms face the opposite side. They tried their best to help. I asked to move to any room facing Istiklal Street, but was told they were all fully occupied, so I could only have a Standard Room. I was really pissed off. I didn't get the view I wanted, and the room they gave me cost almost half as much as the one I'd booked. As an apology, they gave me two free breakfast vouchers, but that wasn't what I wanted. I also couldn't cancel or get a refund because I booked through Agoda. If something like this happens, they should tell guests right away. Some people might be really angry, while others might accept it but still be left with bad memories, like me. I accepted the change because I didn't want to ruin my first time in Istanbul. But I won't come back to this hotel.
