Melo at reception was unbelievably kind and patient. I lost my purse somewhere in Istanbul, and he spent ages calling countless places, translating for me, and staying calm while I got more and more frazzled. The purse seems to have gone off to start a life of its own, sadly, but Melo’s effort was incredible. He’s a real credit to the hotel and one of the most helpful people I’ve met while travelling. They’re lucky to have such good staff. If you want a real experience of genuine traveler care, I’d advise staying here. Thank you, Melo. I hope my purse appreciates all your help.

Sub Karaköy gave me a calm, comfortable stay, and the staff were attentive and always ready to help. The hotel is clean and stylish, with quality you can feel in the details. Its location made it easy to get around. It’s described as a Michelin-starred hotel, and I’d definitely choose it again.

My daughter’s iPad went missing, and we strongly believe someone from housekeeping took it. The hotel offered no responsibility or support, and even after we contacted the tourist police, nobody came to help. It’s hard to feel safe or trust a place after that. The rooms themselves were cozy, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff were genuinely welcoming, and the location is excellent, within walking distance of the main attractions. But a nice room and a good location don’t mean much when guests don’t feel secure.

SUB Karaköy is my home base whenever I visit Istanbul, my favorite city and a beloved old town with a mix of styles. It’s a funky little boutique hotel with a great feel, stylish rooms, lovely staff, and a perfect location. Breakfast is amazing too.
