Sultanahmet Suites

The location is great, and it works if all you want is a clean bed. But quite a few things in the rooms didn’t work, including the coffee machine and kettle. The suite in the pictures may not be the one you get, since their suites are spread around the neighborhood. We only had hot water for about two minutes a day before it ran out.

We spent four nights here and it was perfect. The hotel was clean and had all the commodities. Manager Hüseyin was always ready to help, gave us extra blankets and arranged a complimentary late checkout. Loved the service, and I’ll definitely come back.

The staff were friendly and the location was convenient. Our apartment was spacious, bright and clean, with everything we needed: a wardrobe, kitchen, refrigerator, gas stove and electric kettle. We were happy with our stay.

We paid over £400 for a six-night stay booked through booking.com, arriving at 9:45 pm with young kids. We were left outside the first building, then taken about a three-minute walk to a different one and given a room that didn’t match the booking pictures. We couldn’t afford to move elsewhere, but for what we paid, we never expected this condition. The bedding was dirty, the room smelled of gas, the mattresses had springs sticking out, and it smelled old and horrible. There was no hot water for two days, and when we raised the gas smell with the manager, he ignored us. We had to call him about the water, which he did sort out. Most of the listed facilities weren’t available, and the room was never cleaned during our stay. The balcony had no view, just tall walls all around, and there was no street view either. I warn anyone considering this place. It was absolutely disgusting and not fit for animals.
