Taksim Brand Suite Hotel

I booked seven days, but after two days we had no electricity or water for another two days. They kept promising something would be done, but nothing happened. When I decided to leave, they refused to refund the unused days. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The location isn't bad, but the street itself smells of decay. The place is awful, run-down, and filthy. Our room smelled strongly, like sewage, and the furniture was falling apart. There was hair everywhere and random stains on the bed linens. When we asked for clean sheets, staff first agreed, then didn't change them. After we asked again, they said the cleaning staff had left and we could do it ourselves. It took a long discussion before they finally changed them, and what was underneath was disgusting. On the 6th floor, people who weren't guests played loud music at midnight and moved furniture around during the night. This place isn't worth even one star.

The only thing we liked was the politeness of the gentleman working in the lobby. The sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcase were dirty and hadn't been changed, so we asked for clean ones. There was just one bottle of water in the room. The TV didn't work, and the air conditioner wasn't working properly. Its display was broken and loose. The most worrying part was the elevator. There was a notice saying the municipality had inspected it and its use was prohibited, yet the business still let guests use it without having the problems checked or fixed. With so many fatal elevator accidents these days, I plan to complain to the municipality as soon as possible. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. If all you need is somewhere to sleep at night and leave in the morning, it may make sense, but otherwise, absolutely not.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The listing showed a suite with a balcony, but what we got was a loft in much worse condition. The photos don't match reality, and I wouldn't trust the 9.2 rating. Our room was dirty when we arrived, with trash bags inside and bedding left by the previous occupants. The mugs were filthy, and there were no forks, plates, spoons, or knives. Furniture was old, wallpaper and tiles were peeling, and the place felt like a cheap barn. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. the water was completely shut off, so we couldn't use the bathroom or shower. It ruined our whole experience of Istanbul. Booking sites should remove the hotel and rate it one star. Look at the real photos, they were taken right away.
