Terra Suites

I saw a mouse run under the bed while I was pleading with Expedia customer service for help. I was shocked and couldn’t believe it. No traveler should have to deal with that, and at that point the place felt like a serious health risk. It was already very late, but I managed to book somewhere else for the night. I’d researched carefully before booking Terra Suites. The online photos and reviews made it look clean, comfortable, and trustworthy, but what I found was the opposite. From opening the door, I was hit by a strong smell that got worse inside. The apartment was dirty and neglected, nothing like the welcoming space shown online, and the toilet was leaking. The manager refused to refund me despite those conditions, which were completely unacceptable and not what had been promised. The lack of care, responsibility, and basic professionalism was heartbreaking. This property shouldn’t be listed on booking sites until everything is fixed. No one should arrive somewhere that feels unsafe, unclean, and misrepresented. The experience left me shocked, upset, and deeply disappointed. I’ll stick to hotels instead of private hosts from now on because I don’t want to go through this again. I hope my review saves other travellers from the disappointment and frustration I went through.

The reception was wonderful, and we had a lovely stay. The hotel is clean, has a beautiful view, and the service is nice. The only drawback is the walk to Taksim Market, which takes about five minutes and is a little tiring.

Muhammad was probably the nicest person I’ve met in a place like this, and the staff were extremely friendly. Towels were changed daily, hot water came right away, and the room cleaning was perfect. No bugs or mold, just a clean place, with excellent air-conditioning too. Getting there takes some figuring out, and you have to be okay with hills. Once you are, it feels like home. I think it was one of the nicest places we stayed in while in Istanbul. For this price, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

The location and price were good, and I’d recommend the place. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed sheets.
