The Best Hotel

There’s a lot of noise, and it’s hard to get a proper rest. I really wouldn’t recommend paying for breakfast either, it isn’t worth it and you’ll still feel hungry afterward. The hotel itself is clean and in a convenient area. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

We’d arranged the reservation and agreed on everything about a month before arriving, then called a few days ahead to confirm. Once we got there, they seemed to have no idea about the booking and acted as if we’d never made one. We took the rooms they had available, but they still tried to charge more than the agreed price. They lied about the reservation and then tried to raise the price too. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There are plenty of nearby alternatives.

The central Istanbul location was handy for getting around, but the room needed attention. It was dusty and looked like it was due for renovation, with peeling ceiling material that had fallen into the room and onto the bed. That affected both comfort and cleanliness. Better upkeep would make a difference.

We’d agreed on one price for the rooms, but when we arrived, the hotel said they had no reservation for us and quoted a much higher price. They tried to scam us and were very unprofessional. The manager doesn’t speak English. Shame on this hotel.
