The Marist Hotel Kadikoy

Kadikoy is so easy to get around from this hotel, which is very close to public transportation. The staff were amazing, and my husband and I were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast each morning was fresh, simple, and tasty. They let us check out late and arranged a car to the airport. While we waited, they offered us free coffee and a place to sit on the terrace until it arrived. The service was humble and amazing. My husband and I will always stay here when we visit. Thank you!

The stay went beyond what we expected. The staff were very nice, the rooms were spacious, and the service was good. Breakfast was tasty too. It's near all the major Kadikoy spots.

The Bosphorus view from the attic dining room was a lovely part of breakfast, and outside breakfast hours we could still go up for tea or coffee. We stayed for ten nights in September 2024, though we originally planned only five. We liked Marist enough to cancel our plan to move to a nearby hotel. Our Deluxe double room had a large bed and a folding sofa. The staff were friendly and quick to help with requests, and the breakfast buffet was filling, with eggs, sausages, sliced cheese, vegetables, greens, tea and coffee. It ran from 8 to 10, with drinks available in the dining room from 8 to 23. The hot water and tea were kept ready, which was handy since there was no kettle in the room. The menu stayed the same every day, which could get repetitive on a longer visit. The location worked well for getting around. Shops including Migros, A101 and Sok, plus a bakery, were nearby. The metro was about a 5-10 minute walk away, as were bus connections, including express buses to both airports, and ferry piers serving Istanbul and the islands. With six floors, having an elevator was useful. A couple of downsides: I had to remind them about cleaning, and rooms facing the street got noisy with the window open, even at night. The narrow streets seem to bounce the sound off the opposite buildings. With the window closed and air conditioning on, it was quiet enough to sleep. The room layout also means you can hear neighbors talking and washing in the bathrooms that adjoin yours, though their room noise didn't carry through.

Everything was good for my stay. The bed, pillows and duvet were comfy, and the room had a fridge and air conditioning. Mine looked onto a quiet backyard. The staff were very friendly, including the people serving breakfast. I just missed having a kettle in the room.
