Melik was incredibly kind and supportive while I was dealing with lost baggage during the trip. He kept helping me contact the airport and encouraging me, and I sincerely hope the hotel supports staff like him. His kindness stood out during a very disappointing stay at a four-star hotel. We booked this room specifically because it was advertised with two separate single beds, but were given one double bed instead. Staff initially admitted the mistake and apologized. Our main concern was having separate beds, but rather than addressing that, they offered free pool and spa access, which didn't solve the problem. Being told it was only one night and should be fine felt inappropriate. Even one night's sleep matters, and the hotel shouldn't decide what matters to guests. We asked for a discount because the room differed from what we booked. They said it was still covered by the booking site's plan and that the ground-floor room was more expensive than rooms on other floors, so there would be no refund. If that's the case, advertising two single beds is misleading and creates false expectations. Though staff first acknowledged the mistake, the final response felt like justification rather than a genuine effort to resolve it. I'd recommend confirming the bed type directly with the hotel before arrival.

Abdo, Maksat and the rest of the team were responsive and caring, handling every request with genuine kindness. They made me feel like family, and it's rare to find staff so focused on a guest's comfort. The food was very nice and my room was comfortable, a great place to relax. The Merreto Hotel Istanbul was clean, modern and well located, and I had a wonderful stay. Excellent hospitality, food and location made it a great base for Istanbul. I felt well looked after and would highly recommend it.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the coffee, and there was different food every day. Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful holiday, and I really appreciate how willing they were to make it lovely. Definitely recommend!

The breakfast was delicious, and everything I needed was just a couple of steps away, including a great place to exchange money. The hotel is close to the metro and tram, yet it was really quiet. It was so clean, and the staff were kind and friendly, especially Aziz and Aziz, and Mustapha. I never regretted staying here.

We found the T1 tram right at the bottom of the street, which is handy if you don't want to walk. The Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar were about a 30-minute walk away. It's a great little hotel in Istanbul. We stayed in December, and the spa facilities were closed. Nobody told us before we arrived, which was mildly annoying.
