The Pashas Inn Istanbul

The apartment was clean, and everything we used worked, including the clothes washer, sink, and hair dryer. We stayed four days, and it was perfect. It’s a short walk to the Blue Mosque, with some nice, inexpensive restaurants on the block. The owner was super helpful. She brought our restaurant takeout right to the apartment so we wouldn’t have to wait outside. She also arranged an airport taxi for less than we found through rideshare apps, and it arrived five minutes early.

The location made it very good value, and the attractions are all within walking distance. The owner was friendly, communicative, and helpful. The apartment matched its listing, was clean, and had everything needed for a longer stay. We’ll come back, and I highly recommend it.

The employees Kadir and Anna were very kind, the rooms weren’t too bad, and the location wasn’t far from the historic center. The rest of the experience was terrible, and I can’t stress enough how disrespectful the owner was. I definitely wouldn’t come back. I booked a family suite with a cancellation option a month or more before the trip. After that period had passed, just one week before we traveled, the owner said the suite was no longer available and offered two separate single apartments instead. The address on Booking and Google Maps was wrong. We took a taxi to the Booking address, called the owner after telling him our arrival time, and got no reply. We wandered around until a kind stranger happened to know where to take us. Without that luck, we might have had to book a hotel for the night. There was a lot of noise at night, including people shouting and sounds from the owner’s kitchen below the apartments. When I met the owner the next day, he approached me to “apologize,” though it felt more like a justification. He spoke aggressively, saying, “I’m not a robot, mistakes happen,” and “you’re in Turkey, this happens.” Rather than own up to not answering our calls or giving us the wrong address, he kept aggressively explaining that his phone was on the charger whenever he saw us. It was very disrespectful.

We stayed for two days, two adults and three children, and it was perfect for our family. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the kitchen had everything you need at home, including a washing machine, microwave, kettle, iron, and more. A big thank you to Kubilay for looking after us so well!
