Ivan I.
We left the next morning after booking another hotel almost as soon as we saw the rooms. The place looked nothing like its photos, and its 8.3 rating didn't match what we found. The rooms reeked of cigarettes all night despite opening the windows, and the couches had cigarette holes. In both rooms, the sheets seemed used and smelled of someone else, while the blankets were covered in hair. When we called reception, two men came to change the sheets. I understand Turkish, and heard one ask the other, “Did you clean the toilet before they arrived?” That shocked me. My family couldn't use the bathroom: the shower was black and dirty, the toilet hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, and the sink was cracked. One room also had badly damaged flooring and a hole in front of the bathroom, apparently from a leaking shower. It looked as if the hotel hadn't been cleaned in years. I asked about getting back the money for the next two nights, but they refused and offered a larger room instead. I turned it down because the misery seemed to be a pattern there. We couldn't even shower or use the toilet because of the dirt. The price was nowhere near fair for those conditions, and I've never stayed anywhere so disgusting. I've attached photos to show how different the place looks from the pictures on Google.
