The Public Ortakoy

We spent February 7-13 at this lovely hotel and felt right at home, thanks to the warm, friendly people working here. We also want to thank the cleaning lady and the hospitable doormen. We explored Istanbul during the day, then watched TV in the room in the evenings. It's in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of the bus and other nice facilities. Our room was spacious, tidy, and clean, with excellent equipment and a kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we slept well, except for one weekend night when the upstairs neighbours were getting to know each other late at night and made a lot of noise. Thanks for everything. Ali and Abdus Samad at reception went above and beyond to help us, and the cleaning team was always available for room cleaning and other services. The location is excellent. My only suggestion for management is to add gym facilities, at least some weights and treadmills, and a scale. Overall, all five stars.

The hotel was quiet and very clean, which made for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Everyone was kind and attentive. Ali at the front desk gave especially outstanding service, and the housekeeping supervisor made sure everything was spotless. The reception team were respectful, professional, and helpful. I really appreciated the service and would highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed for 11 nights in this peaceful, residential neighborhood. The mattresses are old and need replacing because they gave us backaches. The washrooms were small but good, and the kitchenette made things easier. The electrical appliances and gadgets were all good quality. Markets, bakeries, and borek shops are close by, and it's a very nice walk to the ortakoy sahil.
