The only decent thing was that they brought back the water. The service, beds, and bathrooms were bad, and hardly anyone spoke English. Bad, bad, bad. Sorry, that’s the truth. Try it yourself and see. Afterward they blamed us, saying there were three of us but we’d only paid for two. The owner can check with 'Expedia', we paid for three, not two! How could anyone book a family without their children? The flights, transport, and hotel would all be booked wrong. I didn’t expect the hotel to make mistakes like this. So unprofessional!

The rooms were really dirty, and the restaurant area didn’t seem hygienic at all. They also refused to give a refund. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The stay at Sunrise hotel fell well short of what I expected. Check-in was handled adequately, but the room had bed bugs, which made the visit extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable by any hospitality standard. Several facilities listed before booking weren’t there. There was no kettle or in-room safe, and the Wi-Fi advertised on the website was unavailable throughout my visit. It felt like false advertising. Breakfast was disappointing too, with limited choices and poor food quality, below even basic expectations for a hotel in this category. Some staff members were courteous, but overall the experience left a lot to be desired. Cleanliness, transparency, and guest comfort are basic parts of hospitality, and Sunrise hotel didn’t meet those standards. I can’t recommend it in its current state, and sincerely hope management addresses these problems for future guests.

The only good thing was the Sultanahmet area location, close to the main tourist attractions. I’d accidentally booked this hotel after mixing up its name with the recommended ‘Sunlight hotel ‘. I tried to give it a chance after arriving, but had such a bad experience that I checked out early and booked another place. The hotel was dirty, and the staff weren’t welcoming. Alcohol was constantly served on outdoor tables we had to pass to get inside, which was an issue for us as Muslims. The room had no safe, kettle, tea, or glasses. The Wi-Fi didn’t work until we asked staff multiple times, and then they fixed it. Breakfast was a joke, just a greasy omelette with some vegetables and stale bread. It felt disrespectful, and they’d have been better off not serving breakfast. At 0730 one morning, I tried to leave, but the main door was locked and no one was around. Ten minutes later a man came to unlock it. That felt unsafe and was unacceptable. When I checked out early, the manager refused to refund the unused nights, saying ‘the reservation was already done’. As if it wasn’t in his hands. Greedy.
