Getting around from here was the highlight for me. Buses, trams, and the metro are all close, so reaching different parts of the city was very easy. I liked walking downhill to Laleli to browse the shops or get a coffee, then taking the tram back up. There’s also a good supermarket right next door and plenty of small restaurants within walking distance. The road itself was usually quiet, much more so than at many places I’ve stayed. I’ve made six trips to Istanbul in the past 18 months, and other hotels have brought the usual problems: security worries, noise, bad Wi-Fi, and difficulty getting around. I’ll come back to Topkapı Golden Time Hotel next time and enjoy a hassle-free stay. Thanks to all the staff. From the moment I arrived, everyone was warm and friendly. My flight got in early, but Ziya made sure I didn’t have to wait long before I could get to my room and catch up on sleep after traveling. The room was a good size, with two beds, a table and chairs, a fridge, and a small worktop for making coffee. There was a good TV, a comfortable bed, and a hot shower with two places to hang the shower head. I hadn’t even noticed it was adjustable. The cleaning lady was always friendly, and I appreciated that nobody came into my room unless I asked, so I never worried about security.

The location is really convenient, with grocery shops, food stalls, and the tram station close by, making tourist attractions easy to reach. The staff are nice, especially the manager, Ziya. Most staff don’t understand English, but he does and is a proper tour guide. He can arrange cheap taxis and cruise tours. If you’re coming from sabiha gocken aiport, call Ziya to book an affordable taxi instead of using Uber, which will cost a fortune. The hotel is budget friendly, but the rooms and toilets need a more thorough clean. The smell of cigarettes gets all over your clothes. I’d recommend it, with that cleaning issue in mind.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, with thoughtful recommendations. They pointed us toward a couple of fantastic Turkish restaurants just 20-30 yards away. The hotel is about 50 yards from the main public transport options, including the underground and trams, and the free breakfast was decent with a good variety. For the price, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The location near Topkapi is great, and the staff are great too. The young man Yousuf speaks English very effectively and is extremely professional. The person who checked us in also deserves appreciation. This is the best place to stay if you’re near Topkapi.
