Windrose Hostel

It may not be the most renovated hostel or have a party atmosphere, but I felt completely safe and looked after here. Every time I came back over the last seven days, I was greeted with a smile and a clean bed. And thanks so much for all the cups of tea and everything else!

Everything was clean, the location was great, and there was hot water, all at fair prices. The staff were lovely and always treated me kindly, with plenty of Turkish tea too. I’d stay here again.

I had a really positive time here, and it added a lot to my experience of Istanbul. The room was cheerful and very clean, as were the kitchen and comfortable chill room. The shared bathroom was cleaned constantly, and the music was really good. The staff were patient, friendly, and helpful, and spoke good English. The location felt very safe, in an old city neighborhood with a warm atmosphere. There are lots of attractions, art spots, coffee shops, and restaurants around, and it’s a four-minute walk from Takcim square.

I stayed in a single room for two nights and thought it was good value for the price. The hostel was quite clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. It’s very central, about five minutes on foot from Taksim square and close to lots of good restaurants. One small issue: the shower glass on the third floor doesn’t cover the whole shower, so water can splash around the bathroom. It wasn’t a major problem, though, and I’d recommend the place.
