Yeni̇ Sevcan Hotel

The WiFi didn't work, and I had to go down to the lobby whenever I needed to make a call. The bathroom is shown in the video below. These people are scammers who overcharge for everything. They refused to take my card and asked for cash instead, and wouldn't give me a receipt for what I paid. The hotel desk companies at Istanbul Airport work with hotels like this. Those scammers at the airport charged me a ridiculous amount, about $500 in my case, then dropped me at one of these terrible hotels. The staff don't speak English, or pretend they don't. Such a bad experience. I was scammed out of about $500.

It looked good inside and out, but the air conditioning didn't work and the shower only had cold water, even in winter. I was freezing in my room and had to wash with cold water. I got sick for a week. It was the worst experience.

A nice old hotel with nice staff, though they spoke little English. I booked one night with breakfast next door. The double room was nice, tucked in the far corner on the building's second level, but there was no WiFi signal there. I had to sit down in the reception area to get connected.

The bedroom was good and the bathroom was normal. Staff were good, though they weren't interested in matching the quotes I found online. I'm not used to haggling over a hotel. It's close to the airport, with McDonald's and the subway nearby.
