Otel Kabacam

This place is filthy and the staff are rude, so I’d warn people to stay away. Lots of the room and hotel descriptions are wrong. There are huge no-smoking signs, but the hotel reeks of smoke and has ashtrays around. It’s dated and badly cleaned, with mold and hair in every corner. I even found a sock in the kettle when I went to make tea, as if someone had washed their socks in it.

The breakfast was nice and it was quiet, making it a wonderful place for two or three days. But the rooms are for two people, with no space for children, so I wouldn’t call it suitable for families.

It’s centrally located, but the area isn’t good.

The location is really good for walking everywhere, the breakfast had plenty of variety and was filling, and the receptionists were very helpful. Still, the cleaning at the İzmir branch was poor. I’d been very happy with the same hotel’s Aydın branch, so this was disappointing. There was a note on the toilet seat saying, "We cleaned it for you," but under the seat I found stains that made me feel sick. I told reception they needed to address it, and hopefully they will.
