The location is handy, right by the metro bus station with several lines that connect to the train to the airport. It’s basically next to the bazaar, and the pier is a fairly short walk away. Along the main road to the north, there are inexpensive places to eat, including bakeries, the usual kebab spots, and at least two sogus stalls. The room was decent, and the shower worked well with proper drainage, which isn’t always the case elsewhere. The WiFi signal in 401 was weak. Breakfast was my main frustration. On the second day there was no milk or scrambled eggs with tomatoes available. The pastries were all cold, and they didn’t seem to reheat them before setting them out. The tea was oversteeped and strong, with a bitter tannin taste. With so many staff walking in and out, the lack of effort in the breakfast service seemed odd to me.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was perfect. It was a little noisy, but we still slept well, and the Turkish breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke a bit of English, so we could understand each other without a problem. Parking is included, though finding it and parking were a bit difficult. Google Maps isn’t up to date on all the roads and restrictions in İzmir. The WiFi was bad.

I only stayed for a day, on 23/24 July. The receptionist especially was great, and they did their best with the hospitality and customer service. The Turkish breakfast was amazing. My one suggestion is to have an iron for guests who want to press their clothes. Thanks for the comfortable room and proper air-conditioning. :)

A good spot near the old bazar, though there aren’t any food places around.

Friendly staff, clean roomy rooms, and a nice breakfast. All in all, a good experience. 😃
