Megara Hotel Istanbul

The breakfast was amazing, and the room service and general service were both very pleasant. Megara hotel is also just a five-minute walk from hagia sofia, blue mosque, topkapi palace, and the sea. Eminonu port is about ten minutes away by metro, where you can take a boaphorus cruise for 15 TL. There’s a taxi stand right outside, so getting there from Ataturk airport is easy, about 60 TL by taxi. Cheers!

I’ve stayed here many times and it feels like home in Istanbul. The staff are friendly, and the location is excellent. Don’t miss the view from the top-level restaurant, it’s just GREAT! Have a chat with the owner too.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I can’t say what the rooms are like. I did browse the small shop in the foyer, where there was a small selection of items. The person working there was friendly and, unbelievably, knew the football team from my hometown. I bought a lovely picture printed on a tile. I believe the painting is in Istanbul's art gallery.

It’s a small hotel with plenty of charm. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were tidy and clean with air conditioning, and breakfast was great.
