Marlight Boutique Hotel - Boutique Class

I booked two nights through the official website link on the hotel’s Googlemap page. On check-in day, though, the hotel messaged me on WhatsApp to say they don’t work with that company and that I should cancel the booking myself. They need to make sure the Googlemap link is accurate. It’s now been changed to a different booking link, and hopefully this one goes to the real booking system.

Great hotel, and the staff work perfectly. They make you feel at home, and the reception guys are beyond words. I recommend the suite with the sauna inside, it was nice. At these prices, incredible!!!

Sona was one of the kindest people on the team, always welcoming and lovely to deal with. The hotel is clean and cozy, and there are restaurants and other places close by, so it’s easy to get around. I’ll definitely book here again when I’m back in Izmir.

The room was clean and comfortable, the AC worked well, and both the housekeeping and dining staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast had plenty of good choices, including fresh, tasty vegetables. It’s also near the historic area, a large park, the train, and shuttles to the bus station. Still, I didn’t feel safe on the street or in the immediate neighborhood, and I wouldn’t stay here again. I had repeated difficulties with the front desk on different matters, possibly because of language barriers, and one staff member wasn’t very kind about it. The Wi-Fi was okay, but there were no written instructions, so I had to keep going back to reception for the password. The spa is separate from the hotel, and arranging an appointment was such a hassle that I never used it. At check-in I was told to go downstairs the next day during spa hours, but when I did, the person there acted as though I shouldn’t have come. For guests from other countries, the hotel should provide written guidance about the neighborhood, Wi-Fi, spa, and its rules, either in the room or at check-in.
