MB City Hotel

The room was comfortable, and from the breakfast window there’s a great view. The embankment and the local "Istiklal", where there’s always plenty going on, are not far away.

I spent a week at the MB City Hotel in İzmir and had a great stay. My room was always clean, and I felt fine walking in the area at night. I’d read some older reviews and found my experience different, it seems things have improved. Sinan and Ezgi were great, as another reviewer had said. There’s no coffee or tea in the room, but you can get some downstairs and bring it up. Breakfast was good, and there are local places to eat too. A microwave would be useful, since I had leftovers one night and wanted to warm them up. Otherwise, I’d definitely stay here again when I’m in İzmir.

The staff spoke very good English and helped us find the best places to visit in Izmir. They were warm and welcoming throughout. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was cleaned very well, and the view was lovely. We had a great stay and would definitely come back soon. 10/10, I’d recommend it to anyone travelling to Izmir.

People here are nice, respectful, and helpful, and you can stay with your girlfriend or family. It’s a good value, especially if your main plan is exploring the city and you just need a place to sleep, shower, or relax briefly. Kibris Sehitleri street, the main street in the area, is only five minutes away. Our room’s hair dryer didn’t work, and the soundproofing was weak. Noise from outside or the corridor came through and made me a little uncomfortable.
