Izmir Ontur Hotel - Boutique Class

We made good use of the basement pool and spa, which are easy to overlook. The hotel is right in the city centre, with key sights within walking distance, and the rooms were unusually spacious, clean, and comfortable for us as a family with a child. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Emir, the manager, was especially kind and flexible when we had to change our dates at short notice. We had a great stay, and I’d recommend it to families.

The hotel is well placed near the square and city centre, and our room was clean. I also appreciated how carefully the hotel followed environmental practices. We stayed for seven nights, and the soundproofing was good. There were a couple of service hiccups: the bathroom shampoo dispenser was empty, and I had to ask reception to deal with it the next day. We also had only two soft pillows for three guests; the other pillows were large and uncomfortable, and the issue wasn’t sorted out until our last day. It wasn’t a major thing during a visit to beautiful Izmir, but it took follow-up. Breakfast was decent, though the menu repeated often and felt limited for a four-star hotel. More variety, including eggs cooked in different ways, would have helped. If you’re visiting Izmir, getting an Izmir card makes tram and ferry trips much easier.

A decent option. The rooms are over 20 m2 and feel spacious. Breakfast was okay, and some of the staff speak English.

The rooms were roomy and really comfortable, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast had a top-notch spread. It’s a stunning place to stay, and I’d come back if I’m in Izmir again.
