The lakeside location and beautiful street may be why they don’t feel much need to be hospitable. I’ve known them for years, had friends stay there a few times, and been to the cafe many times. I’ve never seen the staff, especially the managers, smile or treat customers warmly. I’ve finally decided I won’t visit again or recommend anyone stay there.

The hotel is close to the lake, and the center is easy to reach on foot. It seems to have two buildings, and the one where my room was looked very new. The man who showed me around and carried my bag was nice. The room was clean, but the bed wasn’t. The pillows and blanket were clean, but the sheet looked used and had lots of human hairs on it. The lower part of the bed was really dusty and dirty, which made me uncomfortable. Breakfast was simple and not very interesting. Maybe there were fewer guests because it was winter, but they didn’t even have cucumbers or tomatoes, basic parts of a Turkish breakfast.

My wife and her mother needed to extend their stay in Turkey after their return flight was cancelled, so they booked Seyir Butik Hotel. The owners and staff were polite and very helpful, doing what they could to make the stay pleasant. Their room was clean, with a balcony overlooking the sea, and the hotel is very close to the lake. The restaurant food was really tasty. We highly recommend Seyir Butik Hotel for a calm, enjoyable holiday. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality and great customer service. Five stars! 👍😊

We arrived really late but were still welcomed warmly at this small, family-run hotel. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and the service beat some of the five-star places we stayed at. Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and practical, and the kitchen was very clean too. On our 30-day trip around Turkey, this was the hotel that handled the pandemic measures best. They also made an effort to avoid creating piles of extra plastic. There’s a small playground for younger children. Everything touristy in İznik is within walking distance, and a var park is opposite the hotel.

The staff are very nice and speak English. Our room was clean, comfortable, and full of natural light. They even moved us to another room after discovering a plumbing issue in ours. Breakfast had a good variety and tasted good. The Wi-Fi worked for international video calls as long as the connection held, and internet in Turkey is something to read up on.
