Happy Hotel Kalkan

We spent most of our time enjoying the gorgeous balcony view, so the TV never got switched on. There was plenty to do around the property, with a huge warm pool, ping-pong and pool tables, and a friendly dog wandering about. Pomegranate and olive trees line the paths to the rooms. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and breakfast had tasty buffet choices plus an omelette station, with servers keeping everything tidy. Our room had soft towels and robes, a spacious, well-stocked bathroom, and strong Wi-Fi. No complaints from me. Better coffee would be nice, and fresh flowers in the rooms might be a nice touch.

The bay view was amazing, and I spent most of the day beside the spotless pool. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was lovely, and the chef was great. I also had a few dinners there, and they were excellent. The location is lovely, though I’d suggest taking a taxi into town and back. The staff were so friendly and did whatever they could to make the stay enjoyable. The manager was welcoming too, nothing seemed like too much trouble. I’ll certainly come back.

We only stayed one night for a family wedding and paid a budget price, so I was very happy with the stay and would return. Our balcony had a wonderful view, and the staff were very helpful. The place was very, very clean. The breakfast buffet had a good range of choices. The area gets hilly once you leave the hotel.

The huge pool was really refreshing, and breakfast set us up for the day. There was a big spread of cheeses, meats, olives, eggs, fruit, vegetables, pastries, jams, lovely honey and bread, plus an omelette made to order, all included in our holiday. Our room was clean, with lots of bathroom products, a kettle, tea, coffee, and a fridge. The location overlooking Kalamar Bay is stunning. It’s quite a walk into town, but you can always get a taxi. Everyone treated us so well, especially Hussain, who paid attention to every detail and looked after us brilliantly. He made the holiday for us. He also made me the best cocktail I’ve ever had, though I forgot to ask what was in it. There isn’t anything negative to report from our point of view. We really enjoyed it, and even though we usually book a private Villa, I’d stay at Happy Hotel again anytime. Lovely location and great staff.
