WARNING, this place is closed down! We arrived in Istanbul exhausted in the middle of the night, and our driver left us at a dark building. A local passing by told us the hotel had been closed for about a month. We’d booked several months earlier, but the hotel never emailed us or sent any confirmation about the closure. Please don’t book here, find somewhere else. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

The hotel is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from Sultanahmet Square and the main historic sights, and close to the sea. You can also arrange a Bosphorus tour or other trips right there, and they can help book an airport taxi. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the whole small, charming hotel felt tidy and smelled fresh. The staff were always polite, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast was delicious. They also surprised me with a lovely birthday gesture, which I hadn’t expected and really made my day! 😍🥹

The hotel is uphill, so keep that in mind, though the Blue Mosque is a 13-minute walk away. The location was just okay for us. We stayed six nights and had to go out after the first morning to find a proper breakfast. The hotel’s breakfast was extremely basic, just boiled eggs, bread, and jam. Our room had a constant dirty smell, including from the curtains. The washroom was very basic, with a broken door, damaged wallpaper, and a sink with nowhere to put things. Service was terrible: they changed the sheets only once, after we asked, didn’t clean the carpet or washroom, left garbage bags in the middle of the room, and replaced the bedding with dirty sheets. I also found the many five-star reviews suspicious because the comments looked very similar, as though the hotel itself had written them to mislead people. I really wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were really friendly, and the toilets were clean. Our room was spacious, though the AC could use some improvement. The sea is visible from the place, even if it’s a bit far away. The Blue Mosque is a 10-minute walk, and the tram stop in the center is 15 minutes away. The location is perfect, and it’s a great place for a stay with friends or family. Breakfast was average.

There’s no elevator, and our room was on the fifth floor, so be ready for lots of stairs lol. Even so, my friends and I had a great stay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The location is excellent, the breakfast was decent with Turkish buffet options, and the rooms felt a bit cramped to me, though that seems pretty standard for this area.
