Joy Taksim Hotel

The room is small, but the location's good if you want to be on one of Taksim's busiest streets. Good value for the price.

Our room was so comfortable, and the view was lovely for late evenings or early mornings. Breakfast was available and healthy. Even though we only stayed a short time, my daughter and I felt at home straight away, almost like family. The owner and all the staff were so friendly and added personal touches you don't get at an expensive hotel. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. We'll be back. Many blessings to you all 🙏

The staff were professional, very nice, and supportive at any time of day. This is a clean, small hotel near Taksim square. The only downside was our first-floor room next to the dining area. We could hear people making noise with their cutlery during breakfast. Higher floors would be better.

The location was the one decent part of my stay. The lift wasn't working, yet we were put on the 5th floor, which was a real problem with luggage or mobility issues. The advertised amenities weren't available either. The air conditioning didn't work, and when I asked, I was told, “It’s winter in Istanbul; we don’t let the AC run in rooms.” Some guests still need it for comfort, so that was a poor excuse. I had requested a double bed, but got two singles instead. When I raised it, the operator just kept saying, “I’m sorry, madam, I can’t do anything,” without trying to fix it. The breakfast was very basic, enough to fill you up but nowhere near the quality they claim. Our bedding was torn, and there were no slippers. It didn't feel like comfort or attention to detail mattered here. At night the noise was unbearable. With no working AC, we tried opening the window, but then it was impossible to sleep. This was a disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, hassle-free visit.
