Papermoon Hotel & Apartments

Breakfast was generous and amazing: tomatoes, cucumber, feta, bread, fruit, and a daily surprise such as eggs, French cinnamon toast, or spinach and cheese filo. It kept us full all day. The clean pool was pleasantly warm, and the homemade cheeseburger with chips and garnish we shared there was lovely. Homemade gin was a bonus, and we didn't want to leave. This is a great family-run place with thoughtful touches and lovely hospitality. Our airport transfer, arranged through Papermoon, was waiting despite our five-hour delay. We arrived at 3am and were shown straight to our room. It was spacious, with a double and single bed, a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, two balconies, a large fridge, kettle, and tea and coffee. Good value if you want a no-frills stay with those extras.

Service here is great, and their iced coffee is a real treat, like something from a top-level café. Prices are fair compared with other places around Kalkan. It's a cute little hotel with a large, deep-enough pool, and the rooms are adequately sized with small balconies. Our refrigerator worked poorly, which may be our only problem here.

We didn't need accommodation, though the hotel looks so pretty. We did stop for a couple of cocktails, some of the best we've had in Turkey, and the homemade gin was delicious. The family running the place are delightful. We'd definitely recommend it.

A very cozy apart hotel near the sea, and the old city and its restaurants are an easy walk away. You don't need a car or taxi to get back. Breakfasts are fantastic, and there's a nice bar with good coffee and homemade gin. Recommended.
