Kerpe Alper Apart Otel

We were satisfied, and I’d recommend staying here. The owner is attentive and clearly cares about guests being happy. The rooms are roomy, and the balcony has a kitchen. Our family room had three single beds and one double, plus air conditioning and a TV.

Kerpe itself is beautiful, but even with low expectations for an apartment stay, this place fell short. There was just a small gas cylinder, no stove, and a small electric water heater with its cord visible. The toilet sits in the shower area without a cabin, so it gets soaked whenever you shower and has to be dried constantly. That felt illogical and unhygienic. We’d checked before booking that the AC worked, but it was out of gas and didn’t cool. When we told them, they said, “I don't know much about air conditioning, do you want it to cool much?” We said, “No, we want it to work.” We couldn’t get across that it wasn’t working, and there was no technical help available. They said it would take a few days, so we left because of the heat.

The rooms and balconies are very spacious, and the place was clean and tidy, close to both the sea and the market. The receptionist was attentive and very helpful. The AC, TV, and mini-fridge all worked perfectly. We were on the ground floor, where hot water came from an electric heater, but it worked without trouble. The pillows and sheets were clean, though the blanket smelled bad and needs more attention. There was no toilet paper or liquid hand soap in the bathroom, so bring your own.

For 300 TL a night, I couldn’t find anything that made the price worthwhile. The place was clean, I’ll give it that, but the room was tiny and the beds creaked so much that when your spouse turned over, it felt like an earthquake. There isn’t even breakfast. Maybe it suits people without a car who plan to walk to the beach. I couldn’t think of anything else good. Of course you won’t find my name at the hotel, why would I use my own name on Google?
